The grandmothers who are left with their grandchildren are in need of help and support.

You can help “GrG” (Grandmothers raising Grandchildren) by making a donation via Google checkout or by mail.

Because several of the grandmothers are no longer able to make baskets

A donation can be used toward any of the following:

Food Project • $50 will help to provide food at the meetings
Goats • $40 will pay for one goat
Chickens • $30 will pay for 5 chickens per family
Water access / Purification •$80 will help create additional water points
Sponsorship • $25 will support a family for one month
Education
Primary School (ages 6 -13) • $25 will provide shoes or a school uniform for one child
Secondary School (ages 14-18) • To sponsor one of these older grandchildren, please contact Kenya Education Fund (with whom we work closely) and ask for a Direct Sponsorship. This giving option is designed specifically for the careful donor who is keen on monitoring the direct effect that their contribution has on an individual student's life. Through the KEF website a sponsors is able to easily track their student's academic progress by viewing their report cards as they are posted at the end of each term. In addition, each KEF student is required to write a minimum of 3 letters annually and mail them directly to their sponsor’s home.
